Library

Our college has a well-stacked automated central library with 20000 volumes of technical books, books in science and humanities, national and international journals, CDs and leading newspapers, magazines and e-library. Every student is a member of the library and can have free and open access to and can borrow all books, journals and newspapers. CDs can also be borrowed for home viewing.

There is a spacious and well-furnished Reading Room in the Library. The Reading Room provides the students with National and International Journals, Technical and Non Technical Magazines, Weeklies, Dailies and Newspaper. The students are free to make use of their leisure time by utilizing the precious materials available in the Library and Reading Room.

Fully computerized library with Internet and more than 360 International e-journal (IEEE) facility enable the staff abd students to search and reserve books as desired. The National Programme on Technology Enchanced Learning (NPTEL) has developed curriculum based video courses. The detailed NPTEL course materials can be accessed from our intranet web server.

A substantial amount per annum is set apart for procuring new books and journals. The library reading room is open from 08:00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M.
  1. The Library is primarily intended for the use of students and staff of this College.
  2. Personal belongings like bags, books, coats, mobile, umbrella and caps etc. are not allowed in to the library.
  3. The library property should be treated with utmost care. Writing, drawing on the reading tables is strictly prohibited.
  4. Every college student is expected to cultivate a high standard of conduct or behavior.
  5. Library membership and borrower cards are not transferable.
  6. One Borrower Card will enable the member to borrow one book at a time and he/she will be responsible for the book drawn on this card.
  7. In case of damage or loss of book, the member shall be required to replace it or pay the cost of the book.
  8. If a book is overdue following penal fee will be levied on overdue book
  9. The defaulters after the above period of due date have to pay all the late fees and double the cost of the books to the accounts department before issuing the hall ticket.
  10. To obtain "No Dues Certificate" from the College, members should return all books borrowed, pay overdue charges if any to the library.
  11. For any further clarification about the Library services the Librarian may be consulted.
  12. Strict silence must be observed in the library, reading room and the veranda leading to the library.
